Payment and cancellation conditions


Room reservation, modifying of an existing reservation, or cancellation of reservation must be done in writing.

The reservation will always be confirmed by e-mail. This confirmation should be treated as a contract, therefore the following payment and cancellation conditions apply.

Possible means of payment: cash, credit card, bank wire, OTP- MKB- KNH „Szép” cards. In some cases, some of our special offers must be paid by cash only.

After receiving our confirmation, a 30% deposit must be made to finalise the reservation. In some cases a higher percent deposit might be necessary. Some travel agencies offer the possibility to make „NON REFUNDABLE” reservation at a lower price. These reservations cannot be cancelled or modified and the full price of the reservation must be paid if full in advance.

Cancelling a reservation: in every case, the cancellation must be done in writing. If the required deposit is not paid withing the given timeframe, we will try to contact the guest in order to find a solution. If we are not able to contact the guest, the reservation will be cancelled.

Cancellation conditions during high season and on holidays:
21 or more days before arrival: we will refund the full deposit.
21 – 14 days before arrival: the deposit will not be refunded but can be used for another reservation at a later time.
14 or less days before arrival or in case of no show: the deposit will not be refunded

Cancellation conditions during low season:
14 or more days before arrival: we will refund the full deposit.
14 - 7 days before arrival: the deposit will not be refunded but can be used for another reservation at a later time.
7 or less days before arrival or in case of no show: the deposit will not be refunded
Cancellation conditions during New Years Eve: The amount of the depost is 50% of the full price.
30 or more days before arrival: we will refund the full deposit.
30 - 21 days before arrival: the deposit will not be refunded but can be used for another reservation at a later time.
21 or less days before arrival or in case of no show: the deposit will not be refunded
Deposits made within 30 days till New Years Eve will not be refunded. For group reservations a different cancellation conditions might apply, please contact the reception for details.

Cancellation conditions after the guest occupies his/her room (leaving the room at an earlier time than agreed in the reservation):
During high season, holidays, New Years Eve: the full price must be paid at arrival and this amount will not be refunded.
During low season: On top of the already spent nights, the cost of 2 more nights must be paid.

If the date of arrival is during high season, holidays, New Years Eve and and the amount of guests is less than agreed upon in the reservation, or we don’t receive a notification of the change at least 14 days before arrival, the full price of the reservation must be paid.

The Hotel reserves the right to change, modify and adjust the rates with or without prior notice.

In special cases (for example: Easter, New Years Eve) the Hotel might outline a different set of cancellation conditions, but these differences will always be stated in the confirmation letter.
